 Founder-Mainely Women, Fitness Professional, Founder-LifeBreath, Life/ Wellness Coach, Author, 7th degree Black Belt and a dedicated practitioner and enthusiast in the health and wellness world. With 35 years under my belt, I am so excited about bringing women together to enjoy sisterhood, fun, nature and learning to take better care of their body, mind and soul with many wonderful transformational tools. I love being in nature, having fun, laughter, sharing, LifeBreath, working out, creating, teaching and, of course, my beautiful family. I have been working on the East Coast for decades, including the beautiful, magical Ocean Reef Club  in Key Largo as the fitness/wellness head at the Member Fitness Center.
I was also the fitness/program director for Joan Lunden's women's retreat "Camp Reveille" for a decade and I look forward to carrying the wonderful, contagious energy to Mainely Women.

Brenda Colfer

Brenda is a Certified LifeBreath and  Chakradance Facilitator, Sound Healing Facilitator and Reiki Teacher.  She has been offering her intuitive Reiki Sound Healing sessions in the Capitol region for the past 18 years. She has certifications in a variety of modalities that she pulls upon during her sessions.  Brenda travels to offer classes throughout the State of Maine and New England. Dr. Ann LoPresti

Dr. Ann will be coming to us from New Mexico. She  works in both the Eastern and Western medical field. 

She is a Doctor of Oriental Medicine (NM) practicing Traditional Chinese Medicine for over 18 years helping patients heal using acupuncture, herbal medicine, moxabustion, cupping, Gua Sha and more.  She teaches how this fascinating medicine offers a comprehensive system for activating the body’s energy to promote our innate healing abilities.  A pharmacist for over 30 years, she has taught extensively about our physiology and the effects of medications, supplements, herbs and stress on our body and mind to professionals and the general public.  Her passion as a Law of Attraction Wellness Coach certified through Quantum Success Coaching Academy encompasses guiding individuals on their unique path to wellbeing as they design their own Personal Medicine and integrate the best of western medicine and alternative medicine for sustainable, radiant health and wellness. Her heart is filled by music and being in nature, especially hiking in the expansive southwest where she currently resides.  Maine, however, will always be home!  She is thrilled to be part of the fantastic Mainely Women team this year. 

Sue Curran

Massage Therapist,Reiki Master, LifeBreath Facilitator, 2nd Degree Black Belt and Martial Arts Instructor. Sue is a LifeBreath Facilitator and has been consciously breathing since 2001. As a black belt in karate, she studied under John and Beth Bielat and is currently a 2nd degree black belt and instructor. She has been teaching Martial Arts in the Cape Elizabeth community since 2009. She graduated from the New Hampshire Institute of Therapeutic Arts in 2006 as a massage therapist and practices in the Lakes Region area of Maine. Sue loves the outdoors. Her favorite pastimes are hiking, kayaking, biking and being surrounded by peace and nature.  

Laura Shaknis

Laura graduated from the University of Maine and has spent the past 35 years working in the health and fitness industry as a group fitness instructor, and personal trainer in both Maine and Pennsylvania. She has specialty certifications in pre and post natal exercise, senior fitness, injury prevention, and integrative  nutrition. Laura is also a certified LifeBreath Facilitator. Following years of involvement at Joan Lunden’s Camp Reveille in Maine, Laura introduced, and facilitated LifeBreath in south­-central PA. Laura loves being active, enjoys the great outdoors and cherishes time with her family. She loves sharing her understanding and knowledge of health and fitness with others to improve their well-being.

Louise Devlin

Louise received her Massage Licensure after completing The Therapeutic Massage Program at Spa Tech Institute in Portland, Maine. Her training consists of Swedish, deep tissue, pregnancy, neuromuscular and myofascial massage modalities. Louise also received extensive training in Sacral Cranial therapy as well as hand and foot reflexology. She studied under Aaron Mattes and provides Isolated Stretching for her clients when needed. She is a certified Personal Trainer and a certified My skeletal Alignment PR practitioner through the Erik Dalton Freedom from Pain Institute. Louise has had training in healing energy therapies as well . She is Reiki II certified and provides Polarity and Chrystal Healing Therapy. She is also proud to offer Pulsed Electromagnetic Field Therapy and LifeBreath to her clients as drug free ways to attain better health. John Bielat

 Master Maine Guide, Boat Captain, Florida and Maine fishing guide, motorcyclist, Hunting and Fishing enthusiast, 7th degree black belt, backpacking and hiking enthusiast, master carpenter and general contractor. John has been hiking, fishing, backpacking and training in martial arts for 50 years. His love of the outdoors spans from sea to mountains and streams and lakes. John has recently built a self sufficient , off-the-grid log home on a mountain and stream wood plot in the mountains of western Maine. John has taught martial arts, fishing, hiking, and outdoor survival courses in Maine for the last three decades.  "My love of the outdoors is part of my soul. I am most at home in the mountains and on the water. I truly enjoy sharing the outdoor experience, helping people learn about fishing, hiking, paddling, and nature - to pass on our roots and heritage of the great outdoors."

  Jewelry Artist, LifeBreath FacilitatorLisa MacDonald is a Maine native and has been creating jewelry and sea glass pieces for over 10 years.  She has been collecting sea glass on the beaches of Maine for over 50 years.  She loves to teach and watch others discover their innate creativity, as they design and make pieces of jewelry that are unique expressions of themselves.Lisa taught at Camp Reveille for the last decade producing beautiful and inspiring jewelry for the great number of women who love her classes. 

Inanna

This is an all-women's percussion and vocal ensemble dedicated to cultural diversity, education and healing through the universal language of music. Blending western vocal harmonies with the polyrhythms of West Africa, the Middle East and Brazil, they create a multicultural fusion beyond tradition.  Together for 26 years, the band has recorded six full-length albums; been invited to schools to teach drumming and culture to youth; and performed extensively.

Through their own teaching, the members of Inanna seek not only to provide musical education, but also to cultivate vibrant community.  The band takes it name from the ancient Sumerian goddess Inanna, whose mythology is connected to the drum.  Contact Inanna at: Inannasistersinrythm.com.

Amy Verville

Amy Verville is a Doctor of Pharmacy and has been in practice for the last 19 years.  Aside from her career of helping others through medicine and science, she has had several life experiences that have drawn her closer to the notion that healing of the physical body is only a very small part of nurturing our overall health and well-being.  She began to develop intuitive capabilities after becoming a Mother to her two children.  She trained at the Monroe Institute in Virginia in order to expand her intuition, and has the ability to honor and share Spirit communication. She is extensively trained to perform focused, comprehensive Aura and Chakra interpretations, using 3D video simulation technology.  Some of the presentations offered by Amy involve information about Metaphysical Science; Personal Growth and Development; Energy, Auras, and Chakras; and Spirituality. Along with continuing to practice as a retail pharmacist, she is now committed to helping people learn about their energy; sharing her personal stories and knowledge of how she has successfully applied what she has learned; and helping others to create balance, positive change, and inner peace in their own lives.  Amy is also a Certified Angel/Oracle Card Reader, and an attuned Integrated Energy Therapist.

Janice DeMille

Janice is a certified personal trainer, fitness enthusiast, certified group exercise instructor, nutrition / wellness advocate and a videographer.
She has been involved in fitness and wellness for decades. As a type I diabetic, Janice brings amazing guidance and knowledge to her piece of nutrition.
Janice teaches classes and private session in North Carolina, as well as, Maine.  
Janice, and her husband Bill, are outdoor enthusiasts with loads of experience in mountain biking and hiking. 


Rebecca LaWind

Rebecca LaWind is owner of Ways to Wellness Center in Windham, Maine, offering holistic services, classes and workshops.   She is a licensed massage therapy and yoga teacher, and reiki practitioner for 15 years and loves nature, music, and the arts.  Rebecca lives with her husband and two children in their cozy home in Windham, spending much time amidst the woodsy trails and river.
